December 20th 2003 - "Let's Grow Together - The Comeback Of St. Thomas" went to print early in December, and will be released in Norway through Racing Junior on January 12th. A limited edition of 2.000 copies will also include a "On The Road With St. Thomas" DVD. The DVD contains a twenty-five minute documentary shot and directed by Thomas himself on the latest European tour in Autumn 2003, and four music videos also shot and directed by Thomas himself along with some friends. The first three music videos, "Paris, Texas," "Sunny Day" and "Come My Way," are part of a music video trilogy, while the fourth is "An Artist With A Brilliant Disguise," the first promotional single from the album. The tracklisting for the album is as follows: 1. Sunny Day 2. You May Find A Treasure Everywhere 3. Paris, Texas 4. Like You Know 5. Come My Way 6. Silence Break Your Heart 7. Dance To The Disco 8. Cool Yellow Flowershirt 9. Waltzing Around Insane 10. An Artist With A Brilliant Disguise 11. Daily Song 12. Let's Grow Together 13. The Red Book + But Wishing Is Enough "An Artist With A Brilliant Disguise" has received a bit of airplay here in Norway, it should also be possible to catch the video for the song on television, but I have yet to see it. Interestingly enough, the video for "New Apartment," which was made to promote the last record, has apparently been aired in Germany lately, so you might be able to see that one too. Click here to see the front cover of the new album, and here to see the front cover of the limited edition DVD. As reported earlier, a limited edition seven inch EP called "Winter Sprinter" will also be released in a limited edition of five hundred copies a week before the album. The EP features home recordings of the unreleased songs "Winter Sprinter," "The German Road," "Hold It On" and "Run & Dribble." Click here to see the front cover of the EP. When it comes to international releases for the album, a licensing deal has been made with Track & Field in London. They are planning an April 4th 2004 release for the United Kingdom. Release in Germany, Austria and Switzerland has yet to be confirmed, but hopefully happen around the same time as the UK release. The album will also be available through Racing Junior's partners. In America, the new album will be released in August. But before then, "Mysterious Walks" and "Hey Harmony" will be released there in March or April, and St. Thomas will play the the major South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas in March. More dates in America might be confirmed later on. A Norwegian tour has been booked, and will start on January 22nd at Checkpoint Charlie in Stavanger. There will be a concert at Rockefeller in Oslo on February 4th. More dates will be put up here as soon as I have them. St. Thomas will also play at the Winter Sprinter festival at Water Rats in London, UK on January 7th and at the Eurosonic festival in Groningen, The Netherlands on January 9th, and there will be a UK tour in April and a European tour in May and June. |
