News Page June 2003: News from the St. Thomas world, and updates to this page in June 2003. This page is not an official source of information, if in doubt of accuracy of info please get in touch with webmaster of this page or the info source.

June 21st 2003 - http://www.stthomas.no/ is open. The official St. Thomas merchandise page features all the items that were for sale on the newly-ended Norwegian and European tour, plus the two previous St. Thomas albums, "Mysterious Walks" and "I'm Coming Home," that might be slightly difficult to get ahold of for those living outside of Norway. In addition you can secure a copy or two of the vinyl version of "Hey Harmony," limited edition of only three hundred numbered copies.

I got the honour of making the page for Thomas, and I am very happy with the result. Especially since almost the entire webpage was made lying on my knees on my bedroom floor drawing and writing on pieces of paper.

Tonight Thomas will perform at VG Topp 20's free concert at Rådhusplassen in Oslo. The entire hit-parade concert will be broadcast on the Norwegian radio station NRK P3 from 21:30 until 00:30, while certain parts will be aired on the Norwegian televison channel NRK1 from 22:35 to 23:15 and 23:35 and 00:30. The radio-only part will see St. Thomas perform "Heroes Making Dinner," while the performance of "A Long Long Time" will be aired on television.

Thomas will play with his girlfriend Ilse and his two friends Henrik Horge and Steinar, who some of you may remember from their fabulous choir-job at the Rockefeller concert some weeks ago.

For those that miss the television broadcast tonight, it will be re-run on NRK2 later tonight, and also on NRK1 some time tomorrow.

June 16th 2003 - It is with proudness I announce that an official St. Thomas merchandise page is just around the corner. I have been lucky enough to get to help Thomas out with this project, and I am incredibly satisfied with the final result. Everything will be available through the St. Thomas Official Merchandise Page at http://www.stthomas.no/ starting this Saturday.

And yes, to all those who have mailed and asked about the "Hey Harmony" vinyl: It is finally released. It is limited to only three hundred numbered copies, it is on heavy (180 gram) vinyl, and it features a unique cover. And best of all, eighty of these lovely vinyls will only be made available for sale through the Official Merchandise Page! All it takes is a few days of patience and a visit to http://www.stthomas.no/ on Saturday to get ahold of one of these collector's items.

June 6th 2003 - St. Thomas will be featured on the program "Store Studio Nachspiel" on the Norwegian TV channel NRK2 tonight between 23:45 and 00:15. This is a program that features additional footage left out from the original "Store Studio" broadcast where St. Thomas performed "A Long Long Time" in the end of January this year. Most likely the part that was only aired on radio will be broadcast, including an interview with Thomas and performances of "The Cool Song" and "New Apartment," but this is just a guess.

The Norwegian radio channel NRK P3 broadcast forty-five minutes of St. Thomas' performance at last year's Roskilde Festival on Monday night. The songs broadcast were "Cowboy, Cowgirl - Moviestar, Moviestar," "Goodbye Emily Lang," "The Cool Song," "A Nice Bottle Of Wine," "Heroes Making Dinner," "Sunny Day," "Institution," "New Apartment," "Everything Was Up For A Romance," "With The Feather," "Falling Down," "A Long Long Time," "Be Cool Be Nice" and "The Railroad." The recording was done by the Finnish radio station Radio Extreme.

St. Thomas will be visiting Eastern Europe this Autumn, concerts in Zagreb, Ljubljana and Beograd have been scheduled for the end of October. More information and exact dates will be presented as soon as things get confirmed. In addition St. Thomas will most likely tour the north of Norway, probably in August, and will most likely end up visiting countries like Switzerland and Austria on a European tour going to the countries not visited on the current European tour.

June 2nd 2003 - Apparently St. Thomas concert at the Roskilde Festival last Summer will be broadcast on the program Musikkmisjonen on the Norwegian radio channel NRK P3 tonight. There is not any information about it on the program's webpage, so this is not confirmed, but it should be worth listening to the program between 21:03 and 00:00 tonight just in case.

St. Thomas will play at Djazz in Duisburg, Germany on June 8th. This has previously been listed as an unconfirmed performance in Göttingen in the concerts section, but it has now been confirmed to be played in Duisburg.

The Spot 09 festival in Århus, Denmark on May 31st was a great success, Thomas thought it was one of the highlights of the tour, with between 700 and 1.000 people in the audience paying attention to the band and seemingly having a great time. There is a Danish review available here that does not seem way too positive, though.
